Faculty of Economics Welcomes Delegation from Kunming University of Science and Technology to Strengthen International Academic Collaboration

On Wednesday, 8 July 2026, from 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assoc. Prof. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics, together with the Faculty's executive team, welcomed a delegation from Kunming University of Science and Technology to discuss opportunities for strengthening academic collaboration between the two institutions. The meeting was held at Room ECB 2602, Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University.

The visit aimed to enhance international academic cooperation and institutional partnerships through discussions on a wide range of collaborative initiatives designed to advance education, research, and global engagement.

Key areas of discussion included curriculum development, joint degree programmes, the preparation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support future dual degree programmes, student exchange initiatives, and the development of both short-term and long-term exchange programmes. These initiatives are intended to enhance students' academic capabilities, broaden intercultural learning experiences, and strengthen the international competencies of students and staff from both institutions.

The meeting marks another significant milestone in the Faculty's internationalisation strategy, reinforcing its commitment to expanding global academic partnerships and creating meaningful opportunities for collaborative education, research, and academic mobility. Through such partnerships, the Faculty continues to prepare graduates and staff to thrive in an increasingly interconnected global environment.
