builds CMU: The Startup & Entrepreneurial Programme
2 August 2026
Corporate Communication and Alumni Relations Center (CCARC)
The builds CMU Startup & Entrepreneurial Programme opens up opportunities for students to unleash their creativity and transform innovative ideas or research into viable businesses. Grounded in the belief that entrepreneurship can spark from a classroom inspiration or a commercially viable innovation, builds CMU provides students with both theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on experience. Through structured workshops, team-building activities, and prototype or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) development, participants have the opportunity to test their products in real markets under the guidance of dedicated mentors and in-house experts.
Furthermore, builds connects students with extensive business networks, angel investors, and funding opportunities across university, public, and private sectors. The initiative ensures that brilliant ideas and projects do not simply stop when the class or lab session finishes, but are instead scaled into startup enterprises capable of generating positive social impact.
builds occupies the second and third floors of the CMU Health Centre, offering an inspiring co-working space for anyone ready to begin their entrepreneurial journey. For further information, visit the official Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/cmubuilds.
