MIdS CMU Organizes Workshop on “Developing Provincial Strategies Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)”

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary School, Chiang Mai University (MIdS CMU), organized a workshop on “Developing Provincial Strategies Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)” (Batch 1) for government officers and staff from Lamphun Province.

The session began with a lecture on “Conceptual Frameworks for Strategic Direction and Planning,” delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apichat Sopadang, Dean of MIdS CMU and an expert in strategic planning. The second part featured a Generative AI Workshop for conducting SWOT Analysis, led by Mr. Natdanai Homkhong, CEO of Big Data Agency Co., Ltd. Participants also engaged in a strategic planning workshop for Lamphun Province, selecting key development themes for AI-based SWOT analysis, presenting their results, and exchanging insights and recommendations. The training took place in Room 2-202, Building 2, MIdS CMU.

The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of government personnel and agencies in Lamphun Province by strengthening their knowledge and skills in applying AI technologies to strategic planning and public administration. Participants learned how to utilize AI tools for provincial strategy formulation, project proposal development, evaluation, and meeting management, enabling more systematic, efficient, and modern operations.

This initiative was conducted under the academic collaboration (MoU) between Lamphun Province and Chiang Mai University.
