On May 9, 2023, representatives from the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI) at Chiang Mai University (CMU), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Benjamas Suksatit, Associate Dean of ICDI, visited Yunnan Normal University (YNNU), Kunming, P.R. China, to discuss academic cooperation opportunities under the establishment of the Sisters City Research Center between ICDI and YNNU, through the Confucius Institute Chiang Mai University. The main focus of the discussions was the establishment of a double degree program at the graduate level, which would enable lecturers from YNNU to pursue their doctoral degrees at ICDI and would enhance the career prospects of YNNU's lecturers, and provide valuable cross-cultural learning experiences. The two institutions also discussed staff exchange and research cooperation, which would facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise.
