International College of Digital Innovation
On June 29, 2023, at Kunming City, People's Republic of China, Dr. Rujira Unjaroen, the Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, CMU, and Representative of Chiang Mai University, participated in a conference to drive the development of the Lancang-Mekong Economic Innovation Corridor. Dr. Rujira Unjaroen, along with Dr. Thacha Lawanna, a lecturer from the International College of Digital Innovation, represented Chiang Mai University in the operational conference titled "Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Innovation Corridor Development." The conference aimed to promote economic innovation in the Mekong region. The International College of Digital Innovation received funding support from the Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund to enhance competitiveness and contribute to the country's development, particularly in the CLVMT area of Route Number 1. The funding also aimed to support SMEs, startups, and students in becoming digital marketers, enabling them to enter the Chinese market through cross-border e-commerce. The project has been ongoing since February 2566 and, if successful, it will be a significant achievement for the College's involvement in strengthening the Mekong region.
