AI Platform ‘Matthew’ by CMU Wins Silver Award in Education Tech at Thai Digital & AI Awards 2026

Chiang Mai University's Matthew AI platform received the Silver Award in the Education Tech category at the inaugural Thai Digital & AI Awards 2026.
The award ceremony was held on July 24, 2026, at the Auditorium on the 5th Floor of UOB Plaza and was organized by the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce.
Developed by Chiang Mai University, Matthew is a generative AI platform designed to enhance learning, operations, and educational services for students and staff. By integrating AI into teaching and university services, the platform aims to deliver a more personalized, accessible and future-ready learning experience in the digital era.
Held for the first time this year, the Thai Digital & AI Awards recognizes outstanding digital innovations by entrepreneurs, startups and innovators across Thailand. The awards seek to strengthen the country's competitiveness in the digital economy while promoting AI adoption across industry and service sectors. It features 10 categories: Manufacturing Tech, Health Tech, Tourism Tech, Agriculture Tech, Retail Tech, FinTech, Education Tech, Cyber Tech, ESG Tech and Startup Rising.
Chiang Mai University extends its appreciation to the awards organizers and all parties involved in the development of Matthew. The recognition marks an important milestone in the university's commitment to advancing AI-driven education and fostering innovation in educational technology.
