CMU Researcher Wins Outstanding Scientist Awards 2025

Miss Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), officiated the presentation ceremony of the Outstanding Scientist and Young Scientist Awards 2025. Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, CMU President, Professor Dr. Supachai Pathumnakul, MHESI Permanent Secretary, and Professor Dr. Jumras Limtrakul, Chairman of the Outstanding Scientist Awards, offered their congratulations to the recipients. The ceremony took place on August 13, 2025, at Vibhavadee Ballroom C, Centara Grand at Central Plaza in Ladprao, Bangkok. This year’s recipients from CMU are:
• Distinguished Professor Dr. Siriporn Chattipakorn, from the Department of Oral Biology and Diagnostic Sciences as well as the Cardiac Electrophysiology Research and Training Centre’s Neurophysiology Unit, won the Outstanding Scientist Award 2025, earning a trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and a monetary prize of 400,000 baht.
• Dr. Sirasit Srinuanpan, from the CMU Centre for Excellence in Microbial Diversity and Sustainable Utilization, received the Young Scientists Award 2025, earning
a trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and a monetary prize of 100,000 baht.
