SHASHIN NO EN: LANNA ? KANTO Photo Exhibition

The Creative Photography Program, Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with the Department of Photography, Tokyo Polytechnic University, Japan, proudly presents the "SHASHIN NO EN: LANNA ? KANTO" photo exhibition. The exhibition aims to foster artistic exchange and strengthen connections between Thailand and Japan through the universal language of photography.

The word "EN" (?) means connection, bond, or meaningful encounter. Combined with "Shashin" (??), meaning photography, the exhibition reflects the idea that photographs serve as a medium for connecting people, cultures, and experiences across different places and perspectives.

Featuring more than 30 photographic series by faculty members, staff, and students from Thailand and Japan, the exhibition explores themes of culture, identity, everyday life, and contemporary landscapes. Through diverse visual perspectives, visitors are invited to reflect on the meaning of "connection" and the relationships that emerge through seeing, sharing, and experiencing photography.

Exhibition Dates: 16–24 July 2026
Venue: 1st Floor, CMU Art & Culture Center, Chiang Mai University
