Corporate Communication and Alumni Relations Center (CCARC)
On March 14, 2026, Mr. Ratthapol Naradisorn, Governor of Chiang Mai, officiated a workshop titled ‘Haze & Wildfire War Room: Combatting Dust with Data’. Associate Professor Dr. Winita Punyodom, CMU Vice President, delivered the welcoming address, while Assistant Professor Dr. Wan Wiriya, Head of the Project, provided an overview of the initiative as well as delivering a lecture on data-driven assessment of health risks from air pollution and effective community communication.
Held at the NSP Rice Grain Auditorium and Exhibition Hall, the workshop aimed to raise awareness of PM2.5 issues and appropriate response strategies. The program also featured a panel discussion on ‘Promoting Local Communities as Protagonists’, along with a hands-on session on the use of digital tools for monitoring, analyzing, and forecasting weather data, and their application in assessing health risks associated with air pollution.
