International College of Digital Innovation
On Friday, 25 April 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ooncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, led ICDI executives, faculty members, and staff in attending the annual Rod Nam Dam Hua ceremony organized by Chiang Mai University. The ceremony honored the Chairperson of the University Council, former Presidents, the current President, and senior faculty members, in celebration of the traditional Northern Thai New Year (Pi Mai Mueang).
Held at the Chiang Mai University Convention Hall, the event aimed to preserve and pass down the rich Lanna cultural heritage and values. ICDI actively participated in the ceremonial procession, contributed performers to the traditional Fon Leb (nail dance), and entered the traditional costume contest.
ICDI is proud to announce that its representatives received the first prize in the traditional Lanna costume contest in the personnel category.
The awardees were:
-Dr. Nuttaphat Sukchitt, Lecturer, School of Digital Innovation
-Ms. Sirirag Yodpuntong, Financial and Accounting Officer, ICDI Office
This participation not only highlighted ICDI's commitment to cultural preservation but also strengthened the bonds of unity and shared identity within the university community.
