ECON CMU Holds a Retirement Tribute for Assoc. Prof. Kanchana Chokethaworn, Ph.D., Celebrating a Journey of Dedication, Contribution and Lasting Bonds

On Friday, 25 September 2026, at 6.00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, held a retirement tribute in honour of Assoc. Prof. Kanchana Chokethaworn, Ph.D., a civil servant of the Faculty of Economics, at the Koem Room, 7th Floor, Meli? Chiang Mai.

The event provided an opportunity for the ECON CMU community to express its appreciation and gratitude for her dedication and contributions to the Faculty of Economics and Chiang Mai University throughout her years of service.

Filled with warmth, affection, and cherished memories, the programme featured a tribute highlighting Assoc. Prof. Kanchana Chokethaworn, Ph.D.’s life, professional journey, good deeds, and contributions. A special video entitled “ที่ตรงนี้...ยังคงมีรัก” (Love Still Remains Here) conveyed the bonds and affection of the ECON community, accompanied by a special performance, “ECON Nee Mee Rak”, together with performances by faculty members and staff and a traditional Lanna victory-drum performance.

During the tribute ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics presented a commemorative gift and delivered a message of appreciation and best wishes. Representatives of faculty members and staff also shared personal reflections and memorable moments in the special segment “Messages from the Heart...to Our Retiree”.

The evening concluded with Assoc. Prof. Kanchana Chokethaworn, Ph.D., sharing her reflections and expressing her gratitude to the executives, faculty members, staff, and guests. The occasion marked a memorable chapter for the ECON CMU community, celebrating not only a distinguished professional journey but also the enduring bonds, affection, and memories built throughout her years of service.
