ECON CMU Receives an “Excellent” Award for Its Faculty-Level Carbon Management Plan

On 24 September 2026, from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, led by Assoc. Prof. Rossarin Osathanunkul, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Economics, participated in the seminar on “Summary of Performance under Faculty-Level Carbon Management Plans”, held under the staff capacity development project on carbon management to advance Chiang Mai University’s faculties and units towards becoming low-carbon and sustainable organisations.

The seminar was held at Thong Kwao 1 Meeting Room, Chiang Mai University Academic Service Centre and provided a platform to review the implementation of faculty-level carbon management plans and exchange approaches to carbon management in support of CMU’s transition towards low-carbon and sustainable operations.

On this occasion, the Faculty of Economics, Chiang Mai University, received the “Excellent” Award for Faculty-Level Carbon Management Plan Development, recognising the Faculty’s systematic approach to carbon management planning and its commitment to advancing environmental and sustainability initiatives.

This achievement marks another step in ECON CMU’s efforts to integrate carbon management into its organisational development and to contribute to Chiang Mai University’s broader sustainability goals.
