Online International short training course on Community Empowerment to Promote Healthy Early Childhood

The Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand, supported by the Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency (TICA), organized an online international short training course on “Community Empowerment to Promote Healthy Early Childhood” during July 7 - 23, 2021 via Nurse CMU Moodle and the Zoom Cloud Meetings platform. The participants were 40 people from 18 countries: Algeria, Azerbaijan, Botswana, Brazil, Ecuador, Guyana, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Maldives, Morocco, Myanmar, Peru, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uzbekistan. This course was honored to open with welcome speeches by Miss Hataichanok Siriwadhanakul, Director of Human Resources Development Bureau, at the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), and Asst. Prof. Dr.Thanee Kaewthummanukul, Ph.D., RN, Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University. The opening speech was given by Clinical Professor Niwes Nantachit, President of Chiang Mai University. The participants will meet the following objectives:

1. Explain concepts, theories, and evidence-based related to community empowerment to achieve the quality development of the community.

2. Explain concepts and theories which are evidence-based and related to promotion of health and illness prevention in healthy children and children with health risks from birth to early childhood according to physical, psychological, social, and spiritual health problems and needs.

3. Analyze the problems and the health care management of early childhood.
