On 16 January 2026, the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University (ICDI CMU), organized a Special Lecture Session on the topic “Blockchain and Stablecoins” at Room ICB1102, ICDI Building. The session featured distinguished digital technology experts from South Korea: Professor James Won-Ki Hong and Professor Byoung Hun Lee from the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH).

During the lecture, the speakers shared in-depth knowledge on blockchain mechanisms, the role of stablecoins, emerging trends in digital financial technologies, and practical insights into applying blockchain technology in modern business and industrial sectors. Participants gained up-to-date, globally relevant perspectives that link theory to real-world applications.

Following the keynote session, ICDI organized a knowledge-sharing activity by faculty members, and students, providing an opportunity to exchange research experiences and viewpoints. This was followed by a discussion and Q&A session, enabling participants to engage directly with the experts and explore ideas in greater depth.

The event attracted administrators, faculty members, and graduate students, both onsite and online, creating an engaging and academically enriching atmosphere. It also served as a valuable platform for strengthening academic collaboration between ICDI and POSTECH in the future.
