ICDI CMU Participates in the Australia–Thailand Digital Skills Networking Reception to Strengthen International Collaboration in Digital Skills Development

On 4 March 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rujira Ouncharoen, Dean of the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, participated in the Australia–Thailand Digital Skills Networking Reception held at the Official Residence of the Australian Ambassador in Bangkok. The event was organized by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) at the Australian Embassy in Bangkok, with the aim of strengthening educational collaboration between Australian and Thai institutions in the area of digital skills development.
The reception served as an important platform bringing together representatives from universities, vocational education institutions, industry partners, and Australian alumni to exchange perspectives on developing a digitally skilled workforce aligned with the needs of future industries. During the event, the Dean engaged in discussions on potential academic collaborations, including the development of joint programs and dual degree initiatives, student exchange programs, and the organization of short courses in digital technology and innovation.
The participation aimed to explore global trends in digital skills development and to expand international partnership networks. Such engagement will contribute to enhancing the quality of education and strengthening students’ international competencies. This reflects the commitment of the International College of Digital Innovation, Chiang Mai University, to expanding global collaborations and continuously advancing its academic offerings in alignment with the evolving digital landscape and international standards.
