CERT Doctoral Degree Student awarded in AAIC 2019 Conference

CMU’s Doctoral Degree Student in Cardiac Electrophysiology Research and Training Center (CERT Center), Faculty of Medicine, has been awarded an international prize during the “Alzheimer’s Association International Conference” (AAIC 2019) in Los Angeles, U.S.A. on July 14 – 18, 2019.
Ms. Napassorn Chaiyasith was awarded a Poster Competition Winner from research on “Gut dysbiosis initiates metabolic disturbance, cognitive decline, and microglial hyperactivity in high-fat-induced obese rats”.


The AAIC of U.S.A. awards outstanding research once in each of 4 categories and Ms. Napassorn Chaiyasith was awarded in the category of “Basic and Translational Science” and it was only prize awarded to an international student this year.


This research project was supervised by Professor Dr. Siriporn Chattipakorn, Dr. of Dent., Head of Neurophysiology, CERT Center.
