CMU is advancing its digital operational development to accommodate learning, teaching, research, and other aspects of work driven by 7,000 university-wide hotspots across all campuses, which include the main campus, Suandok and Mae Hia – under the name @JumboPlus and @JumboPlus5GHz. First-time users can easily log in using their CMU account and their device will automatically connect to the network on future log-ins. One CMU account can be used on up to 10 devices.
Having a ’CMU Account’ is the key to accessing the university services that are provided to facilitate study and university life. New students will receive a code, which will be 66 this year, and will get their CMU account after registration and then they will be able to access services, including:
1. The CMU Student Information System (CMU SIS), where they can access the scholarship portal, such as student loans, work scholarships, and study scholarships;
2. Enrollment, tuition fee payment, grade reports, and teaching evaluations;
3. Licensed software e.g., Windows and anti-virus software;
4. 7,000 @Jumboplus Wi-Fi hotspots university-wide; and
5. Online and offline access to Microsoft365 with 5 TB worth of storage, obtainable by simply logging in at https://www.office.com/your CMU account number.
Moreover, there is the ITSC Corner where students can study and work with computers as internet access is provided, as well as co-working spaces and common spaces that are provided by different faculties and organizations to facilitate self-learning.
