The CMU Development Foundation, in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine’s Sriphat Centre, officially handed over four dust-free classrooms to four child development centers across Chiang Mai: The Rong Wua Daeng SAO Child Development Centre, San Kamphaeng District; the Nong Phueng Sub-district Child Development Centre 1, Saraphi District; the Nong Phueng
Sub-district Child Development Centre 2, Saraphi District; and the Ban Waen Municipality Child Development Centre 1, Hang Dong District.
Associate Professor Prasert Rerkkriangkrai, Vice President, officiated the handover ceremony on behalf of CMU President Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol. The event saw the attendance of monks, local administrators, teachers, students, executives from the CMU Development Foundation, staff from the Sriphat Centre and ERDI, and members of the public.
This initiative is a key part of CMU's broader "dust-free classroom" project, which aims to install air purifiers and filter systems in schools and child development centers throughout Chiang Mai. By partnering with various organizations, CMU is dedicated to creating safe zones that protect children from PM 2.5 pollution, ensuring access to clean air and promoting good health.
