Transport Services On campus and to the city
The University operates a fleet of 32 electric-powered vehicles which run on set routes around the Suan Sak campus, while red truck coverd pick-ups, called Song Taews , run on set routes from Suan Sak campus to Suan Dok/Mae Hea campus. In addition, privately owned red truck pick-ups and three-wheeled Tuk Tuks, take students around and between the campuses and to destinations in the city.
Students pay Baht 400 per semester for unlimited on-campus use of the electric buses and CMU designated Song Taews. The regular fare for non-designated Song Taew is usually Baht 5-10 per journey on-campus, and Baht 15-20 per journey off-campus. Fares for Tuk Tuks are negotiated with the driver, and, while the journey by Tuk Tuk is usually quicker, the fares are quite higher than Song Taew fares.
